Ayanna L. Jenkins-Toney chosen as Top Attorney of the Year for 2022 by IAOTP

Ayanna L. Jenkins-Toney, Esq., Principal & Owner of the Law Offices of Ayanna L. Jenkins-Toney in California and Washington, DC, was recently selected as Top Attorney of the Year for 2022 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) for her outstanding leadership and commitment to the legal profession.

Inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor, only a few members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. With 19.5 years as a practicing attorney and direct professional experience in the Legal industry, Ms. Jenkins-Toney has certainly proven herself as accomplished and she is an expert within the legal field. As a dynamic, results-driven leader, Ayanna has demonstrated success not only as an Attorney heading her own law firm, but she has traveled all over the world and was a professional, successful model.

Her areas of expertise include Family Law, Civil Rights, Civil Litigation, Estate and Probate, Employment Law and Personal Injury.  This full-service litigation firm provides exemplary representation with personalized attention to the necessary details to fully comprehend and win their clients cases. Ayanna  has three law offices, located in Georgetown, Washington, DC, San Francisco and San Rafael, California.

Ms. Jenkins-Toney earned her Juris Doctorate from Golden Gate University and her Bachelor of Science degree from Howard University.  Ayanna is also licensed to practice law before the Supreme Court of the State of California, The Court of Appeals of The District of Columbia, The United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and The Supreme Court of the United States of America.

Throughout her illustrious career, Ayanna has received many awards, accolades and has been featured in numerous publications for her outstanding leadership and commitment to the legal industry. This year she is being considered for the Empowered Woman of the Year Award. For 2018, she was selected as Top Family Attorney of the Year by the International Association of Top Professionals and was honored by The California Association of Black Lawyers (CABL) as the ‘Solo Practitioner of The Year”. She is rated in the top 10% in the USA in Civil Litigation from Lawyers of Distinction since 2016. In 2018 San Francisco Magazine listed Ms. Jenkins Toney as a Top Women Attorney in Northern America. Also, in 2018 The Los Angeles Business Journal Awarded Ayanna with The Women’s Council Award. Ms. Jenkins-Toney is an ABA Fellow and was named Super Lawyer Rising Star for 2012 and 2013. Ayanna has continuously been awarded the prestigious ’10 Best Attorneys in California’ by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys. The Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum has named her as one of the Top Trial Lawyers in America and The National Bar Association (NBA) awarded Ayanna with an ‘Outstanding Service Award’ for her continued participation and generous contributions to the legal community. Ayanna was also Honored by The National Bar Association (NBA) in 2012 with it’s prestigious 40 Under 40 Award for Top Attorneys in the Nation. For 2017 Ayanna was awarded as an Industry Leader by Marquis Who’s Who and Best Attorneys in America. For 2022, Ms. Jenkins Toney was named as an Elite Lawyer by The Elite Lawyer Board of Directors. In 2019, Marquis Who’s Who named Ayanna L. Jenkins Toney, Esq. as a subject of biological record of Who’s Who In The World.

In addition to her successful career, Ms. Jenkins-Toney serves and has served- on numerous boards for various organizations and is active in her community. She is an Active Member of The Links Incorporated, The Society Incorporated and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. In 2011, Ayanna founded the North Bay Minority Bar Coalition, and she is the Founder & President of the National Justice Network, a 501(c)(3) since 2013. Ayanna was honored as a ‘Resilient Woman in our Community’ by The Peninsula Bay Chapter, of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.  She has held two terms as past President of the Marin Trial Lawyers and she is Past President of the Marin County Women Lawyers. Committed to protecting the rights of justice including women’s civil rights in the workplace. Ayanna holds a Lifetime membership with the following: Charles Houston Bar Association, California Association of Black Lawyers, Power Attorneys of California and the Northern California Association of Black Women Lawyers where she previously served as a board member.
